A Dramatic topic that would stop you in your tracks… rather it would send a chill down your spine. But then now you know that your favourite city, the commercial capital of India has been attacked and it is no less than war when the pride of Mumbai and the most affluent part of the city is constantly being bludgeoned with bullets and hand grenades. The conspirators were armed with sophisticated weapons, determination and orders from their higher ups. The hapless citizens of our peace n fun loving island city couldn’t stand a chance against the onslaught of hate in the name of religion and laced with bullets. An eyewitness stated ‘The terrorists saw to it that every bullet hit its human mark’. It was mayhem, the young night got darker and bloody as the body count teared through the 3 figure mark.
The police force took time to regain from the shock and awe of the situation, by then 3 of its senior and decorated officers succumbed to a cowardly attack, while they were moving in a Police van were ambushed by terrorists traveling in an hijacked police vehicle. Hemant Karkare – A T S chief, Ashok Kamte – Add’l Commisioner of Police, Vijay salaskar – ATS officer and encounter specialist and 13 other police and military personnels recieved the martyr tag, leaving their near and dear ones to mourn with the rest of the nation.
My heart swells with pride for our soldiers ! Its a lesson to terrorists who are on a suicide mission that our soldiers can lay their lives down to defend our country and its people. I read some blogs and heard some comments on Television about how clumsy our police force and army is, but then when the siege was over, the foreign hostages who were released… thanked the commandos for the way they handled the situation while rescuing the hostages. We have one of the best forces and commandos, though they need a bit more training i doubt that any other force in the world can match their patriotism and valor.
So if its war … we are ready to face it head on. They can break down buildings and kill innocent people, but then they can never break our resolve. Mumbai, a city that never sleeps and a city that would never give in !!!
Not only police we all are shocked, as no one was prepared for such kind of terrorist attack. These terrorist who are killing anyone they see with semi automatic weapons and grenades, well how can our police fight then with years old revolver and not so effective bullet proof jacket and bike helmets.
Our police and security forces made fool of them self in front of the whole world.
What’s amazing is 6 sport security officials from a private security agency who are here for T20 champions league saved over 155 people.
I think its time to take action in our own hands and get our self trained and armed, because we are not even safe in our houses now. Any terrorist can come to the place which we think is most secure and kill us for no reason
Very well said Prem, “So if its war … we are ready to face it head on” We will never ever give in
Jai Hind
Its not just a terrorist attack on mumbai, its a attack on our serenity. I mean a common man who is buying a ticket on ticket window leaving his wife and children behind to wait for him, a lady who is in hurry and trying to catch her regular train, a newly married couples enjoying their dinner, a business tycoon discussing future plans with his clients, all those innocent people deserves such happening? No. none of them was culpable.
After our condolence to those brave warriors, its time to wash out tears and use it to proper way. Neither a government nor and individual is responsible for such a disaster, its our attitude towards terrorists and terrorism caused such incident. The forgiveness and ignorance, but now we won’t ignore any terrorist activity and we are not going to forgive any of them.
If they are 100 we are 1 billion, we are not scared, we are not alone, w we are ready, we are blessed, we are awaked, we are Mumbaikar, we are Indians.
There is a great quote: “Forgiving terrorists is left to GOD. But fixing their appointment with GOD is our responsibility”
Jai hind, Jai Maharashtra.
Hello,
I was very sorry to hear of the things happening in Mumbai. It is always terrible to know of loss due to terrorism. Please know our prayers are still going out for those involved and the families of the innocent who lost loved ones.
As Gold Meir once said: “We con forgive terrorists for killing our children, but for making us kill their’s we will never forgive.” They purposely target civilians, then when retaliations result in unintended civilian casualties, they call upon the liberal media to shout their cries; and shout they do. Please God, open the eyes of those who report on such things!
